Spaghetti and Meatballs Recipe

Description

Tender and Juicy Meatballs dipped in a volcano of fiber-filled Spaghetti and drooling over an amazing sauce is something I can’t stop drooling about. 


Ingredients

Scale
  • 100 grams of Spaghetti

To make chicken Meatballs:

  • 1/2 kg Minced chicken
  • 1.5 tablespoon garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes
  • 1 teaspoon mixed herbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 3 tablespoon Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt.
  • 1 bread slice (soaked in water)

To Fry the Chicken meatballs:

  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • To make Spaghetti sauce:
  • 3 tablespoon olive oil (leftover meatball fried oil)
  • 2 tablespoon garlic (minced)
  • 1 onion (large)
  • 4 cups of tomato puree.
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon mixed herbs.

Instructions

  1. Cook your spaghetti pasta according to the package instruction and set aside.

To make chicken meatballs:

  1. Take minced chicken in the mixing bowl. Add soaked bread, chili flakes, pepper powder, thyme, minced garlic, thyme, salt, and oregano, grated parmesan cheese, and olive oil.
  2. Combine them with the minced chicken.
  3. Pinch out a small lemon sized minced chicken and roll them between your palm (apply olive oil if you need) to make a small ball. Make all the chicken balls and keep them ready.
  4. Heat oil in the saucepan, Fry the meatballs for 3 to 5 minutes over a medium flame or until the meatballs turns to a light golden color.
  5. Fry all the chicken meatballs and set them aside.

Let’s make Spaghetti sauce:

  1. To the same saucepan with the leftover olive oil, add minced garlic. Stir fry the garlic for 1 or 2 minutes.
  2. Add chopped onion, salt, and cook them till the onions translucent.
  3. Add tomato puree. Stir in the spices and dry herbs.
  4. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Add the fried chicken meatballs.
  6. Cover and cook for 10 to12 minutes or a thin glaze of oil appears on top.
  7. Add the cooked pasta. Toss the pasta in the spaghetti sauce., sprinkle some fresh basil if you have.
  8. Sprinkle some grated Parmesan and serve.

  • For tender meatballs, the secret ingredient is bread; preferably white bread; if not, you can use whole wheat or soft sliced bread
  • To get the best flavourful meatballs, the secret lies in the combination of meats
  • If you’re making meatballs in larger batches, baking them ensures even cooking; while baking is simple and will save you a few calories, pan-frying is the fastest way to cook meatballs
