Step by Step pictures: Pavakkai Kadalai Paruppu Varuval | Bittergaurd fry with channa dal
Soak the channa dal for at least 1/2 hour to 1 hour, Chop the bittergaurd, onion and tomato.
Heat up the oil in the pan..
Add in the mustard seeds and let it splutter
Throw in some curry leaves..
Add in the chopped onions and cook until it turns translucent..
Add in the tomatoes…
Add a pinch of salt, just to speed up the process and cook until the tomato is little mushy!!!
Throw in the diced bittergaurd…
Next goes the channa dal, drain out the water and add the channa dal.. Mix everything well and cook for 3 to 4 mins. This channa dal will give a nice crunchy-munchy taste to this recipe.. It is a add-on taste!!!
