This momos chutney is super easy to make, all you need just 3 ingredients to make this sizzling chilli garlic chutney/chutney for momos a street style recipe that pairs extremely well with your momos recipe!

Chutney for momos /chilli garlic sauce is the traditional way to serve the momos, the taste of the momos spiked up when served with this momos chutney.

Add all the ingredients to the blender

Blend to a fine puree, Add little water if you need. Check for the salt and Transfer to the serving bowl.

Tips to make the best chutney for momos:

1. Use dry red-chillies as per your spicy level. You may use a mix of badge chilli and dry red chilli to get a nice red colour to the chutney.

2.Garlic: The dominant flavour of the chutney recipe is garlic, use fresh and tender pods. Discard stale garlic.

3.Tomato: Tomato is used for the texture and tanginess to the chutney. You may also add a pinch of tamarind as well

Sugar: optional, you can omit to add sugar.

1.How long can I store chilli garlic chutney?

Store the momos chutney in an air-tight container and refrigerate for 1 week.

You can also freeze them, pour the chutney in the ice cube tray, once the ice cubes are ready to store them in a zip-lock bags. This way it keeps well for 3 months. 

2.How do you serve momo dipping sauce?

This momo dipping sauce can also serve with other recipes like idly, dosa, appam.
