Lemon Rice

  • Cooked Rice – 1 and 1/2 cup.
  • Lemon – 3 tbs.
  • Oil- 2 tbs
  • Turmeric powder- 1 tsp.
  • Mustard seeds- 1 tsp
  • Channa dal – 1 tsp
  • Peanuts- 1tbs
  • red dry chillies.
  • Salt- to taste.
  • curry leaves- 2 string.


  1. Squeeze the lemon juice in a small bowl by filtering the seeds.
  2. In a pan add in oil, once it heats up, add in mustard seeds,channa dal,peanuts, red dry chillies, curry leaves.
  3. Add in lemon juice, turmeric powder,salt. cook for 2 mins until the oil oozes out.
  4. Spread the cooked rice in the bowl, add the lemon mixture to the rice and give a good mix.( add some oil if needed).
