Ingredients
- Chicken- 1/2 kg
- Butter- 1 tbs
To marinate:
- 1 tbs Chilli powder
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1–1/2 tsp Ginger garlic paste
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp fennel powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp dried fenugreek leaves
- 2 tbs yoghurt
For Butter chicken Gravy:
- 2 tbs Butter
- 4 to matoes
- 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 tbs chilli powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tbs fresh cream
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, add all the ingredients “ to marinate”.
- Add chicken and marinate for 10mins.
- Heat up saute pan, add 1 tbs of butter and saute the chicken and collect the cooked chicken in plate and keep aside.
- Puree the tomatoes to smooth paste
- In the same pan, add butter, add tomato puree and cook for 5 to 8 mins.
- Add ginger garlic paste and saute until the raw smell disappears
- In goes the spice powders, salt and saute for 2 to 3 mins.
- Add 1/2 cup of water just to scrape out the masala sticking to the pan.
- Now, in goes cooked chicken, add milk and cook for few more minutes, till you see the glaze on the sides of the pan.
- Add fresh cream and cook for just 1 minute.
- Sprinkle some crushed dried fenugreek seeds.
