How to make Easy Hummus Recipe:

(Soak chickpeas for 8 hours preferably overnight)

I have pressure cooked the chickpeas for 5 to 6 whistles and drained out the water.

To a food processor, add minced garlic.

Squeeze some lemon juice

Add in some Homemade tahini sauce.

Add in crushed cumin, pulse for few seconds.

Pulse for a few seconds, till everything incorporate. Scrape down, pulse for few seconds. Add 2 tbs of cold water, pulse again.

Tips to Make the Best Homemade Hummus:

Chickpeas: a) Canned Chickpeas: Cook the canned chickpeas for 30 mins. To get mushy consistency chickpeas.

Chickpeas from scratch: Soak the chickpeas overnight for 8 hours adding 1tsp of baking soda that helps to soften the skin, then rinse the water and pressure for 4 to 5 whistles until the chickpeas are mushy.

Ice cold water: Adding cold water to make hummus eventually get the creamiest recipe ever!

  • 2 tsp garlic
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup Homemade Tahini
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 2 tbs cold water
  • 1 tsp olive oil
