Gobi Manchurain is an indo-chinese version of crunchy cauliflower florets sautéed in yummy garlic manchurain sauce. Its just perfect to the core! If you’re craving for something special for your supper ! Here you go guys!!  Lets Begin!!


Gobi Manchurian is one of our all time favourite  indo- chinese recipe. I remember during school days whenever we go out for a restaurant gobi manchurian is my restaurant order. Earlier i had tried many versions of gobi manchurian but I’m not totally satisfied with the taste, somehow i always feel it should be little more better, Now i can shoutttt out and say i got a perfect gobi manchurian where you had tasted in your favourite restaurant.

I served this gobi manchurian with Veg fried rice. Its infused with garlic, chillies, and all sauces. In restaurant we get a bright red colour, but in this recipe i have not added any food colour its all purely optional. I made this gobi manchurian  dry, you can also serve as a starter. If you want little gravy, before serving, just mix the 2 tsp of corn flour with 1/2 cup of water and add in and stir them till its become thicken. This recipe is very easy to make and I’m sure you will definitely love the taste of this Gobi manchurian.

Gobi Manchurian


  • Cauliflower- 2 cups

For batter

  • All purpose flour- 3 tbs
  • Corn flour- 4 tbs
  • Rice flour- 2 tbs
  • Chilli powder- 1 tsp
  • Pepper powder- 1 tsp
  • Garlic- 1 tsp chopped
  • Chillies- 1 tsp chopped
  • Chill garlic sauce- 2 tsp
  • soy sauce- 1 tsp
  • tomato sauce/tomato ketchup- 2tsp
  • oil- deep frying

For Gravy

  • Onion -1 sliced
  • Garlic- 2 tsp chopped
  • Ginger- 2 tsp chopped
  • chillies- 1 tsp chopped
  • soya sauce- 2 tsp
  • chilli-garlic sauce- 2 tsp
  • tomato sauce- 3 tsp
  • Vinegar- 2 tsp
  • sesame oil – 1 tbs
  • Spring onions- 2 tsp

Step By Step Pictures:

For Batter:

Washand cut the florets. I blanched the cauliflower for 5 mins, drained out the excess water.
These all the ingredients for the batter.
In a mixing bowl, add in All purpose flour, corn flour powder, rice flour. This rice flour makes the cauliflower crispy.
Add in chilli powder, pepper powder, chopped chillies and garlic.
In goes our sauces, i have taken – chilli sauce, soya sauce, tomato sauce.
Add water little by little and make them into a paste.
The consistency should be neither thick nor thin.
Dip the Cauliflower florets in the batter, deep fry them
Fry them until its golden brown
All the cauliflower florets are deep fried and keep them aside. 

For gravy:

These all the ingredients for the manchurian gravy.keep all the ingredients ready, because we are going to cook in high flame.
Add 1 tbs of sesame oil
Add in chopped garlic,ginger, chillies.
Add in sliced onion
Saute them for 1 minute
Next Add all the sauces- chilli garlic sauce, soyasauce, tomato sauce,
Add in vinegar
Keep stirring them for a minute
Add all the Fried cauliflower florets.
Gently mix them
Sprinkle some spring onions.

Yummy GOBI MANCHURIAN is Ready!!

Its crispy, tasty and i totally loved the aroma!
