I used basmati rice so according to package instruction 1 cup of rice = 2 cups of water in a closed pan.

Ingredients
1 cup of basmati rice
3 tablespoon of ghee
1onion sliced
2 tablespoon of cashews
2 tablespoon of raisins
1 teaspoon of peppercorns
1 bay leaf
3 cloves
1-inch cinnamon stick
1 pinch of saffron
3 tablespoon of warm milk
1 teaspoon of salt
Instructions
Wash and soak the basmati rice prior cooking.
Fry the cashews and raisins in ghee for just a few seconds until the cashews are lightly browned and raisins are slightly puffed up. Collect them in a bowl and set aside.
Fry the cinnamon, cloves, bay leaf, sliced onion and peppercorns in ghee for few seconds until fragrant. Collect them in a bowl and set aside.
Add ghee in a deep pot, add soaked basmati rice and salt stir fry the for a minute over medium heat. Then add the required amount of water, cover and cook till the rice is cooked and fluffy.
Once the rice is cooked, add all the fried ingredients. Gently mix in.
Sprinkle saffron-infused milk, gently mix and serve.
