Fish fry

  • Fish- 1/2kg
  • Fennel seeds- 1 tbs
  • Coconut- 3tbs
  • Turmeric powder- 1tsp
  • Chilli powder- 2tbs
  • Tamarind pulp- 1tbs
  • Salt- to taste.
  • Oil- 2tbs
  • Onions- 1 finely chopped.


  1. Grind coconut+fennel seeds into a fine paste.
  2. In a bowl add the grinded in a bowl, turmeric powder, chilli powder,tamarind pulp,salt and marinate 20 mins.
  3. In a pan add in oil and fry the fish till the golden brown .
  4. Now add the finely chopped onions in the same pan and fry till it turn golden brown.
  5. Sprinkle the onions on top of the fish.
