Easy Chilli Garlic Shrimps/prawns – It is packed with aromatic flavors of garlic and chili flakes easy to make an appetizer or sides with the bursting of flavors.

 These chilli garlic prawns are simplest and ridiculously easy to make and this is going to be your favorite sides/appetizer when you have very little time left. 

I have made it several times, every time I make it turns out super juicy, and when I serve it just disappears in minutes!

I say the vanishing time is less than the cooking time!

What is easy Chilli Garlic Prawns?

These easy chili garlic prawns are under 10 minutes are flavored with minced garlic, chili flakes, minced ginger the prawns/shrimps are cooked in a delectable juicy chili garlic sauce that makes it amazingly delicious.

Ingredients to make garlic prawns:

Shrimps, garlic, chili flakes, ginger, lemon juice, paprika, soy sauce, olive oil, sesame seeds.

What is the difference between shrimps and prawns:

Biologically shrimps and prawns are different spices,

You can replace shrimp to prawns and vice versa.

Culinary- wise the flavors of the two have no major distinguishing factors.

These Chilli shrimp are,

1.This recipe you can make as a last-minute meal that you can make at any time.

2.This a beginner Level recipe with minimal effort that tastes exotic.

3. You probably have all the ingredients at home and Pantry friendly.

How to make Chilli Garlic shrimps/Prawns:

These all the ingredients to make chili garlic prawns/shrimp.

Take shrimp in a bowl, add minced garlic, chili flakes, and salt.

Rub the chili flakes and minced garlic on the shrimp. let it marinate for 5 minutes.

To a skillet, add 1 teaspoon oil, stir fry the shrimps for 2 to 3 minutes till the prawns are cooked. Collect the prawns in the bowl along with juices and set aside.

To the same skillet, add remaining olive oil, add minced ginger, garlic, and chili flakes.

Bring down the flame to low, let it cook for 3 more minutes. Keep stirring to avoid the spices burning.

Add only the liquid the juices from the cooked prawns.

Add 1/2 cup of water.

Add soy sauce, stir for 1 minute to cook.

Add the cooked prawns/shrimp, mix to cook for 1 minute.

Squeeze some lemon juice.

Chilli garlic prawns are ready! Sprinkle some chopped parsley before you serve!

Tips to make the best Chilli Garlic Prawns:

1.Prawns/shrimp: The whole flavors of the Prawn biryani recipe is in the shrimp!

Get the fresh prawns for the better taste and flavor. 

You may use any size prawns /shrimp for this recipe. As the size increase, it will be taken more minutes to cook and you can tell when the prawns cooked as it will turn to a pink color and half curve shape.

For medium-sized prawns, it takes 3 to 4 minutes to cook.

For large shrimp, it will take 5 to 6 minutes and

For Jumbo prawns 7 to 8 minutes. 

2.Ginger and garlic: For the nice add ginger and garlic flavors, mince the ginger and garlic finely for the extra kick and taste.

3.Paprika &Chilli Flakes: Adding paprika and chilli flakes will spice up the dish. You may add cayenne pepper.

4.Olive oil: I have used olive oil for this recipe, you may add butter or sesame oil.

5.Lemon juice: The tangy taste gives you the freshness to the garlic shrimp. 

6. You Can pulse the dry red chillies in the blender to get fresh chilli flakes.

1. How long can we store?

Store the left-over garlic shrimp in an air-tight container and refrigerate for 2 days.

You can reheat in the microwave or stir fry just to heat it up.

2. How do you serve?

This chilli prawns can be served as a starter, Sides, or with a bowl of rice.

3. Can I use sriracha sauce or chilli garlic sauce?

Yes! You can use, the texture and taste will differ.

4. Can we use frozen Prawns/Shrimps?

Yes! You can make the use of Frozen Prawns as most of the markets sales these frozen prawns, it’s okay you use Frozen Prawns to make this recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg Shrimp/prawns
  • 3 tablespoon garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon chili flakes
  • 1 tablespoon ginger (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon white sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon salt.

Instructions

Prep work:

  1. Wash prawns/shrimp, devein, and keep it ready. If you want you can keep the tail in-tact.
  2. Finely mince garlic and ginger.

To marinade:

  1. Take shrimp in a bowl, add minced garlic, chili flakes, and salt.
  2. Rub the chili flakes and minced garlic on the shrimp. Let it marinate for 5 minutes.

To make Chilli garlic prawns:
