I had chicken parmigiana / Chicken Parmesan in one of my favorite Italian restaurant, ever since I had tasted it I have fallen in love with it! It is SO SO Delicious, simply the huge flavors.

Now, Making chicken parmigiana recipe is simply easy at home, its a wholesome meal, can be served for lunch or dinner either way it works perfectly well.

This chicken parmigiana is delectably juicy and perfectly crisp fried.

Panko bread crumbs can be added for more crispier.
You can serve  as a starter or complete a whole meal serve with any kinda pasta.

Step by step pictures to make chicken parmigiana / Chicken Parmesan:

To marinate:

Take a mixing bowl, break one egg and  minced garlic

Add chilli flakes, oregano, basil and salt

Whisk well to combine, The marinade is ready and keep aside
Chicken breast is placed on chopping board with knife aside
Now,Take a breast piece, pat dry the excess water.

cut the breast pieces in 2 halves

Now to pound the chicken, place the breast pieces into the zip lock cover
chicken breast is being pounded to thin in the ziplock bag
Pound the chicken pieces evenly to get a thin chicken breast

Place the chicken breast to the marinade.

Marinara sauce is being cooked in sauce pan
Make Marinara Sauce Recipe and keep aside.

For Breading:

For Breading- Breadcrumbs, chilli flakes, pepper powder, oregano, salt and onion powder is taken
bread crumbs are taken in grey ceramic plate
Mix all the ingredients for breading and keep aside. 

To Fry chicken pieces: (By this time you can pre-heat your oven 220 degree C / 400 degree F)

oil is heated up in wide saute pan
Heat up olive oil.

Take the marinated chicken bowl and Seasoned bread crumbs

Take the marinated chicken breast, pat over the bread crumbs on both the sides

shallow fry on both the sides until it is golden browned
chicken breast is placed over the baking dish
Place the fried chicken on the baking tray.

Spoon some marinara sauce on top

Add some mozzerella cheese on top and sprinkle some dried basil.

Bake in the oven for 10 mins until the cheese is melted.

Tips to make to best chicken parmigiana recipe:

1.Breast Chicken:
Get the fresh breast chicken pieces and slice in halves and pound to thinner, that helps in quick marinate also to cook the chicken pieces quickly.

2.Marinade: You can marinade the chicken pieces minimum of 10 mins from up to 2 hours in the refrigerator.

3.Marinara Sauce:
For the utmost delicious flavors Make your fresh batch of marinara sauce.

4.Panko Bread crumbs:
Panko bread crumbs are just a flaky bread crumb used in Japanese cuisine, for a crunchy coating, For more crispier fried chicken you can use panko bread crumb.

Ingredients

  • 1 Chicken Breast
  • 4 tbsp olive
  • 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 3/4 cup Marinara Sauce

For marinating:

  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp garlic
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • 1 tsp salt

For breading:

  • 3 tbsp Bread crumbs
  • 1 tbs onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes

Instructions

To marinate:

  1. Take a small mixing bowl, break one egg, add garlic, chili flakes, oregano basil and salt
  2. Whisk well to combine.
  3. Take a breast piece, pat dry excess water.
  4. slit the breast pieces vertically into 2
  5. Now, place the breast into the zip lock cover
  6. Pound the chicken pieces evenly to get a thin chicken breast
  7. marinate the chicken breast for 15 mins.

For breading:

  1. Mix all the ingredients for breading and keep aside.

To fry:

  1. Heat up olive oil.
  2. Take the chicken pieces from the marinade and pat on the seasoned bread crumbs on both sides.
  3. Fry the chicken the on both the sides to a light golden color.

To assemble

  1. Pre-heat your oven 220-degree C/ 400 Degree F
  2. Place the fried chicken on the baking tray.
  3. Spoon some marinara sauce on top
  4. Add some mozzarella cheese on top and sprinkle some dried basil.
  5. Bake in the oven for 10 mins until the cheese is melted.

    Absolutely perfect! I used spaghetti sauce instead of tomato sauce and my very picky fiancee loved it! The crispy chicken was great!
