I love Italian food as much as  Indian food. You will be already evident from my post that Italian Recipes
This lasagna recipe is from the so easy to make, one can never go wrong with this recipe because this is seriously addicting, better than from your take out!
We have made chicken sauce and white sauce from scratch everything all together makes so fresh and delicious.

  • Lasagna Noodles

  • How to make Chicken lasagna:

Ingredients to make chicken meat sauce are taken.
olive oil in deep sauce pan
Heat olive oil to a saucepan.

Add finely chopped garlic and onion. Sautés till the onions turn translucent.

Add minced chicken

Stir fry the minced chicken for 5 to 8 mins, till the chicken is lightly cooked.

Add in mushroom

In goes all the spices and dried herbs

Stir fry the chicken for 3 to 4 mins.

Add tomato puree.

stir and cook for 8 to 10 mins, till you get the saucy consistency.

To a pan, add butter.

Once the butter is melted, add all-purpose flour.

Whisk the flour, for few seconds.

Quickly mix in milk

while stirring the flour mixture other hands Keep stirring using balloon whisk for 2 mins till it is the sauce is lightly thickened.

Add grated parmesan cheese.

Sprinkle some herbs and take out from the heat.

Take your baking tray

spread some chicken meat sauce.

place over lasagna sheet(I have used pre-cooked lasagna sheets), break the lasagna sheet if you want to fit in the baking tray.

Top some chicken meat sauce.

then spoon some white sauce on top.

sprinkle mozzarella cheese. Again Repeat the steps lasagna sheets, meat sauce, white sauce, mozzarella cheese.

Cover with foil. bake in the preheated in 375 degrees F / 190 degree C oven for 30 minutes with the aluminium foil covered. Then bake uncovered for 20 minutes.

Tips to make the best Chicken Lasagna:

1.Lasagna Sheets: I have used no-boil lasagna sheets which are thinner than the regular lasagna noodles. They require no boiling but they need additional liquid while baking, If you are using regular lasagna noodles boil them for 4 to 5 minutes and remember you’ll be cooking again.

2.Chicken: I have used minced chicken that requires less time to cook, you can also get the chicken breast and blend them using a food processor.

3.Spices: You can add spices as per your taste preference.

4.Cover with aluminium foil: Cover your lasagna with aluminium foil before you pop in the oven. If you leave your lasagna uncovered in oven, it will become dry and turns black. Once the lasagna is half cooked, remove the foil and bake till the top is turns to a nice golden colour.

1. What is the baking time for chicken lasagna?

375 degree F / 190 degree C bake for 30 minutes Covered with foil and 20 minutes Uncovered.

2. How long lasagna sit before serving?

Let the lasagna rest for 10 to 15 mins to avoid the sloppy mess.

3. How do you serve chicken lasagna?

This chicken Lasagna can be served with garlic breadsticks, salad, honey roasted carrots.

4. Can I freeze chicken lasagna?

If you want to freeze lasagna, you can either assemble the lasagna in a freezer-safe container or can be placed in the airtight ziplock freezer bags. Wrap and seal them. This stays well and good for 2 months.

Ingredients

  • Lasagna sheets – 6
  • To make Chicken sauce:
  • 2 teaspoon olive oil
  • 2 cups of Tomato Puree
  • 1 cup Minced Chicken
  • 1 teaspoon pepper powder
  • 1tsp minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup onion
  • 1/2 cup mushroom
  • 2teaspoon chilli flakes
  • 1teaspoon paprika
  • 1teaspoon basil
  • 1teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon mixed herbs
  • White Sauce:
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 3/4th cup milk
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan
  • 1 teaspoon mixed herbs

Instructions

  1. To make chicken meat sauce:
  2. To a saucepan, heat olive oil, add minced garlic and onion saute till the onions turn translucent.
  3. Add minced chicken and stir fry the chicken for 2 to 3 mins. Once the chicken turns into a pale white colour, Add mushroom and quick stir for a 1 minute.
  4. In goes all the spice powders and dried herbs. Stir fry for 3mins.
  5. Add tomato puree, stir and cook for 8 to 10 mins, till you get the saucy consistency.
    To make white sauce:
  6. Heat butter, add all-purpose flour whisk for few seconds.
  7. Quickly mix in milk, while stirring the flour mixture other hands Keep stirring using balloon whisk for 2 mins till it is the sauce is lightly thickened.
  8. Add grated parmesan cheese, sprinkle some herbs and take out from the heat.
    To Assemble:
  9. To a baking tray, spread some chicken meat sauce, place over lasagna sheet(I have used pre-cooked lasagna sheets), break the lasagna sheet if you want to fit in entire bowl.
  10. Top some chicken meat sauce, then spoon some white sauce on top, sprinkle mozzarella cheese.
  11. Again Repeat the steps lasagna sheets, meat sauce, white sauce, mozzarella cheese.
    Cover with foil.
